How this calculator works

Pace is total seconds divided by distance. Speed is distance divided by hours. The projected finish time multiplies your current pace by the target distance without an endurance adjustment.

A worked example

Distance: 5 · Distance unit: Kilometres · Finish time: minutes: 30 · Finish time: seconds: 0 · Distance to project at the same pace (km): 10

Pace per kilometre

Pace per mile

Common questions

What does a 30-minute 5K mean for pace?

It is 6:00 per kilometre, about 9:39 per mile and an average speed of 10 km/h.

How should I use the result?

A same-pace projection assumes you can sustain the pace for the whole distance. Use the race predictor for an endurance-adjusted comparison, and account for terrain and conditions.
