How this tool works

Track and route points are parsed locally from GPX XML. Distance sums great-circle distances between consecutive points within each segment. Elevation gain sums positive elevation changes; elapsed time uses available point timestamps. The route preview supports zoom and pan without contacting a map service.

Common questions

Is my route uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing and drawing happen locally. The viewer uses no external map tiles, so route coordinates are not sent to a map provider.

How should I use the result?

Raw GPS and elevation noise can inflate distance and climbing. This viewer does not correct elevations or infer moving time. Files remain in your browser and are not uploaded. Segments are kept separate.
